Pascal Rousseau (g. 1965) yra kuratorius bei šiuolaikinio meno istorijos profesorius Paryžiaus I-ajame Panthéon-Sorbonne universitete. Jo kuruotų parodų sąraše – Fabrice Hyber. Pasteur’ Spirit, Institut Pasteur erdvėje (Paryžius) (2010), Sous influence. Résurgences de l’hypnose dans l’art contemporain, Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts de Lausanne (2006), bei Aux origines de l’abstraction. 1800–1914, d’Orsay muziejuje (Paryžius) (2003).

Pascal Rousseau – vienas iš (d)OCUMENTA 13 dalyvių. Jo esė, pavadinimu Under the Influence.  Hypnosis as a New Medium (Įtakoje. Hipnozė kaip naujoji medija) tapo (d)OCUMENTA esė rinkinio 100 Notes, 100 Thoughts dalimi. Šioje knygoje Pascal Rousseau pasitelkia hipnozės mediją bei jos pasekėjus brėždamas liniją nuo fin de siècle iki XXI a. pradžios. Šiandien daugelis menininkų pasitelkia hipnozę kaip neo-konceptualų metodą, panaikinantį aktyvumo-pasyvumo priešybę bei apžvelgiantį istorines hipnozės ištakas. Dėl paradoksalios nemiego būsenos, hipnozė veikia kūrybinę jos subjektų savivoką. Tad, kaip “paradoksalus miegas” bei meninė praktika, ji daugiau nei 120 metų plevena tarp tapatybės, kolektyviškumo bei utopijos.
