Gintaras Didžiapetris (g. 1985) baigė fotografijos ir medijos meno studijas Vilniaus dailės akademijoje. Menininko kūriniai eksponuoti daugelyje reikšmingų grupinių parodų Europoje, JAV, Kanadoje. Jis dalyvavo 54-ojoje tarptautinėje Venecijos bienalėje ILLUMInations. Jo personalinės parodos vyko tokiose institucijose, kaip Šiuolaikinio meno centras (Vilnius), Salzburger Kunstverein (Austrija), galerijose Elba Benitez (Madridas), Tulips&Roses (Briuselis) ir kitur. Menininkas taip pat yra vienas iš žurnalo The Federal redaktorių bei jame publikuoja straipsnius ir interviu su kitais menininkais.

Gintaro Didžiapetrio kūryba nusakoma kaip minčių judėjimo ir jų kompozicijų, o ne reprezentacijos paieška, sunkiai apibrėžiama įprastomis šiuolaikinio meno kategorijomis.  Diskursyvi kūrinių plotmė autoriaus kūryboje užima lygiavertę, o gal net ir aukštesnę poziciją.
