Object of research –  art criticism in the expanded field (forms, functions, strategies). Lectures and discussions will embrace such subjects:

- Style, genre, form and theme of the text and identity of publisher
- The functions of art criticism. Power relations, discursive conjunctions, performative acts. Text and beyond it.
- Strategies of communication of the art criticism: to whom, how, when, and why?

November 6, CAC reading room (Vokiečių  2, Vilnius)

The third day is intended to work on so-called Case Studies. The speakers will introduce authentic, original ways of writing, their research on text as art and art as text.

November 20, NGA conference hall (Konstitucijos ave. 22, Vilnius)

This day is dedicated to show possibilities of contemporary art research in wider contexts: literature, contemporary psychoanalysis, philosophy. The workshop is aimed to reveal the necessity of interdisciplinarity analyzing processes of contemporary art.   Later that day the attention will switch to a Lithuanian context of art criticism through an analysis of particular critical texts. The day will end with a panel discussion moderated by contemporary art critic and curator Laima Kreivytė.
